Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?
My name is Evelyn Madera. I’m from Los Angeles, Ca. I studied Biology and History at Cal State Long Beach. However, after graduating I decided to pursue a career in the fashion industry.



If you could sneak into anyone’s closet whose would you peek at?
I would definitely sneak into Rihanna’s closet. I think her style is so edgy, chic, yet sophisticated when need be.  

What style rule do you always follow?
I always highlight one body part at a time. For instance, if I wear a mini skirt then I make sure to keep the focus on my legs and cover up everywhere else by wearing long sleeves and a high neckline.

What is your favorite quote?

What inspired your blog?
My blog was inspired by the countless women I started noticing on the web writing about their personal style. I thought, wow this is so great! I want to do that too!

Three things that are always in your purse?
Powder, Lipstick, hand wipes.

Where do you find inspiration for blog posts?
I find my inspiration from my surroundings. It can be the bright colors of a blooming tree, to the feeling I get when the ice cold air hits my face early in the morning.



Best style advice you’ve ever given or received?
The style best advice I’ve ever received was to balance my outfits and accentuate my best features.

What’s the one thing in your closet that you couldn’t live without?
I cannot live without my skater skirts. I’m seriously obsessed.

In your opinion, what separates a great blog from an unsuccessful blog?
What separates a great blog from an unsuccessful one is the person behind it. The writer has to not only love what he or she is discussing in their website, but also go above and beyond to get their name out there.
