Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?
I’m originally from Chicago but recently moved out west to Los Angeles to start my legal career in digital media. I went to college in Arizona (bear down Wildcats!) and then went back to Chicago for law school. I started blogging on the side as a way to create a digital diary of my adventures through life!
If you could sneak into anyone’s closet whose would you peek at?
I would totally sneak into Kristin Cavallari’s closet! I feel like she would have an epic shoe closet and shoes are my weakness. And if I she weren’t a TV character, I’d totally rather sneak into Carrie Bradshaw’s closet!
What style rule do you always follow?
The best accessory you can ever wear is confidence!
What is your favorite quote?
You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.
What inspired your blog?
I was looking for a creative outlet in order to distract myself from all the crazy things that happen in life. I love fashion and wanted to work in fashion law so I figured the perfect way to express my passion was through a blog.
Three things that are always in your purse?
Nude lipstick, sunglasses (usually a pair of flash lens aviators), and travel size perfume
Where do you find inspiration for blog posts?
I find my inspiration from everywhere! Lately, I’ve been getting a ton of inspo from the people that I follow on Instagram.
Best style advice you’ve ever given or received?
Know how to dress for your shape. I’m short so there are some pieces that I love that I know would not flatter me at all. As much as I’d still love to wear them, I won’t because they don’t fit me properly.
What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion means expressing who you are to the world by what you choose to wear. Each outfit is a representation of some part of you.
In your opinion, what separates a great blog from an unsuccessful blog?
Passion. If someone is not passionate about his or her blog, it shows. Blogging takes a lot of time, energy, patience, planning, etc. If your heart is not in it, there is no way to be successful.
