Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background? I am Sindi Arifi, I am 21 years old and I come from Switzerland.

I am a super-passionate woman : fashion, beauty, healthy lifestyle and music are essential to my life. I always wanted to create my own blog to have the possibility to share my passion to everyone.

I started to work in the fashion industry when I was 19 years old. I was elected Miss Switzerland Romande 2014 and I signed to a model agency. I walked for Salvatore Ferragamo, Flavio Castellani, Hervé Léger and other brands. I met a lot of people in the industry : it was my first contacts with fashion and I wanted to go further.

I was finalist at Miss Switzerland 2016, which was a great opportunity to launch my blog. So I did it in September 2015 and everything went very fast. My visibility and KARVAIN grew up day by day and I still can’t believe where I am today. There’s a team with me for the blog : Thomas Masotti, the photographer + graphic designer, and my sister, Suzana Arifi, is managing everything. My mailbox is getting crazy! Many brands contact me from Switzerland and other countries. I just finished a big project with L’Oréal Professionnel Switzerland, which is one of the collaboration I’m proudest and happiest about.

I always believed in my dreams and I worked hard to make them happen. I can’t wait to see what the future will bring.

If you could sneak into anyone’s closet whose would you peek at?  Well, I do not have like « my favorite fashionista ». It always changes as I follow a lot of people. But I have to say that at the moment, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is a stunner. Her style is simple, so chic and very trendy.

What style rule do you always follow? « Rule » is not a word that I assimilate with « style ». I simply wear what I want. My style depends on my mood. I like to keep it chic and simple, with some details which are making the difference. Edgy, effortless, and casual are my motto.

What is your favorite quote? It’s difficult to me to say just one quote. I believe is so many things and I’m motivated with a lot of different quotes. If I pick up the one that is on my head right now, I would say : if you can dream it, you can do it.

I always had big dreams since I was young. Dreams that scare me everytime, because they are really big. And they are the reason of my fire in my stomach. They push me out of my comfort zone to make them come true and even if I’m afraid, I always believe that I can do it. I work hard and I make all the possible to make it happen.

What inspired your blog? I’ve always been a very creative person. I loved expressing myself in different ways, whether it is fashion, music, or dancing. I need to express myself, to share my passions and to do it with love. So yes, my passions definitely inspired my blog. Good vibes, good energy, big dreams and a lot of fun : all of this is concentrated in my blog.

Three things that are always in your purse? My phone (I mean, what could I do without it?!), a bottle of water to keep me hydrated and my lipstick of the day.

Where do you find inspiration for blog posts? When I’m writing a blog post, I just feel it. It is something that I really want to share and of course, it’s related with my personal life. If I have a big crush on something for fashion or beauty, if I discover something new or if I simply want to share a recipe I just made, then I share it. The most important to me is that I stay true to myself and to write down what I really think.

Best style advice you’ve ever given or received? Whatever you are wearing, the most important is how you feel, inside. If you’re happy, you’re will make any outfit looks gorgeous!

What does fashion mean to you? It’s a way to express myself. To show my mood, how I feel and what I love. It is something really personal, an expression of one’s inner self. This is the reason why I don’t like to « follow rules ». I just follow my heart.

In your opinion, what separates a great blog from an unsuccessful blog? You have to love, really love what you’re doing. If you put passion in something, the result is always amazing. The second thing, I think it’s important to keep a close contact with the readers. Personnaly, I’ve built a real relationship with them as I share everything about me. Of course, there’s also the pictures. Good pictures catch the eyes. Thomas Masotti always knows how to capture things and make them even more beautiful. To me, a successful blogger is able to use the influence and impact to actually spread a positive message around them.
